Arrived here on a whim on our way back to the city. The place was packed when we arrived and I took that as a good sign. A lovely couple saw us standing there and waved us over to make sure we got their table (adorable) the service was a little slow but it appeared that there was only 2 women working for that entire busseling restaurant. We were recommended the peanut butter pie by another customer so we decided to indulge- it was delicious. The salad dressings were homemade and everything tasted great. I only take away a star because of the lack of employees, and there was only one washroom so there was always 1 or 2 women waiting to pop in. I dare say Lisa could consider expanding and bringing on more staff- it's clearly a well loved place.
First time there today, February 11th, 2025. Went with the girlfriend. It had a nice traditional diner vibe. Look forward to going again. Very fair prices. See receipt to confirm. Fair portions. Reasonable wait time and good waitress service and attention (not too much attention, not too little. The right balance). The deluxe burger was amazing. I liked it more than the wrap personally (only had a few bite of the GFs wrap). The fries were great. Not too few, not too many. Had peanut butter pie for dessert and it was phenomenal... hands down the best pie I have tasted in my life. Very rich. The typical clientele is older people, and the tables have trivia cards that are pretty fun. I'm amost 40 so i was able to get a good number of trivia answers right. But someone younger might be lost haha. Good way to kill time while you wait for food. We left satisfied and full.
We were in town waiting for our vehicle to be serviced so decided to find a local restaurant to dine in at while we waited. We are thankful that we did because the service was amazing . Friendly staff , clean restaurant , very homely like and food was amazing . Hubby always gets a club house where ever we go because he Says that if you mess that up it’s probably not worth going back there . Well Lisa’s family restaurant passed that test . And they don’t need to ask if you want cheese added to the sandwich for an extra fee , it’s included on the sandwich unlike many other places we have been too. Their gravy on the side was a good generous size and was only an extra $1 I had the scallops , clams and fries . A very generous portion . We were even asked by the waitress how it was tasting . The coleslaw that comes on the side is just like grandma used to make . Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Windsor area . Shop local We will be back again in the near future , just so we could have some dessert off that menu
Discovered this great place for lunch on our way from Halifax to the ferry in Digby. Staff was friendly and efficient, food was delish
I always try and have lunch here at least once during a visit home and it is always a great experience. Servings are plentiful and always delicious. This time I had the clams, and for a NS girl living in AB, these were a fine welcome home. Scalloped potatoes were a special side and were so creamy and tasty. Save room for dessert....I had the gingerbread with warm lemon sauce this time, but they are all amazing
Great seafood and butterscotch pie! Excellent staff. Any time the waitresses are singing along to a Bon Jovi song is going to be an enjoyable meal. I hope I can visit again!
